With the holidays rapidly approaching we tend to set something aside to worry about all the holiday stuff. However, advertising your site should not be what we set aside. On my way home from picking my daughter up at school, I noticed an interesting sight. I have seen it before and it always perplexed me. A smaller bird was chasing and attacking a big bird of prey in the air. Just a few days ago I saw a hawk in a mid air battle trying to catch a pigeon out of a flock of about 300+ pigeons. Yet today, here was one lone bird attacking and chasing a hawk.

I am not sure what caused the battle but as much as I like birds of prey, I always find it to be awesome when the small birds chase the big ones. Maybe it was a mother bird protecting her babies, or maybe it was just protecting itself. The cool thing was it was winning the battle. Maybe the little bird didn't know how little he was. Maybe it was pure stupidity that made it think it could win. Or maybe he knew that if he attacked then the big bird of prey would back down.

Do we sometimes lose battles because we think we are to small and too meager to win the fight so we just give up before it begins? On the TV show The Office last week James Spader closed the special Halloween episode with this thought:

"Fear plays an interesting role in our lives. How dare we let it motivate us. How dare we let it into our decision making, into our livelihoods, into our relationships. It's funny that we take a day each year to dress up in costume to celebrate fear."

I guess what I am saying is, we should not be afraid to do what we want to do. We should not sell ourselves short. Chase those big dreams. I think the reason kids from rich families grow up to have good jobs and make lots of money isn't necessarily because they have a trust fund. I think it is because they see themselves as a big bird. They know that their family has succeeded and so can they. How do you see yourself?

12/26/2011 AGAIN Alertpay is having trouble funding accounts in the USA by bank and credit card. So we have temporarily removed them as a payout option. But the good news is that we have added paypal. Make sure you login to your account and add your paypal email address to receive payout through paypal.

12/2/2011 Alertpay has now added funding from banks in the USA. Provided that they can get the money into the account this week payments should resume on Wednesday.

Then scroll to the section titled Earn Money Then click Payment Information and check that your mailing address is accurate and check the box that says Pay Me By Check To The Above Address and then save the info.


11/11/11 alertpay is still working on it. They hope it will be fixed this next week.
