Big mistakes!

I am one of those rare individuals that have actually made a living over the last 12 years with an online business.
And believe it or not in the past I really haven't made much of my money using network marketing companies.
The reason I haven't really gotten into network marketing is because I really haven't liked very many of them.

Either, I didn't like their product or service or I didn't like the compensation plan.

I did join a network marketing company a few years ago, and I did pretty good in it.

With me locked in a contract, I decided to get a new phone from Solavei and try it out until my contract with my other provider had expired.

I paused hundreds of accounts today

, Today I went through and paused hundreds of accounts. It appears that a lot of affiliate programs have gone under and when they do they don't renew their domain name. When that happens companies swoop in and buy up the domain name and add content on it. Also they seem to add code on it that tells browsers to not load the site inside of a "Frame". In the webpage world a frame is when a webpage is loaded inside of a section of the browser window. We do this when people surf or look at the links from solo-ads. The surfbar takes up the upper/smaller portion of the browser window and the website being advertised is loaded in the larger/bottom half. Some websites add special code that prevents being loaded inside of a frame. This breaks our rules as it is very frustrating when you are surfing and all of the sudden the surfbar disappears. If that ever happens do not press the back button. A pop-up should appear and ask if you really wanted to leave the surfing.
Just follow it's instructions and you will be able to successfully report it and get back to surfing. You may want to review the sites that you have submitted at TopSurfer. Make sure that they do not break any terms. If they do then we will be pausing your account really soon. For repeat offenders we end up just cancelling their account. New ways to make money in 2012

Okay we made it through December, one of the slowest marketing months for programs, etc. online. Now we are hitting January one of the busiest. Are you taking advantage of it? Or are you letting your competition have full access to your potential customers? It's time to get working to make 2012 better than 2011. If you do nothing different then nothing is going to change.

Holidays

With the holidays rapidly approaching we tend to set something aside to worry about all the holiday stuff. However, advertising your site should not be what we set aside. January is one of the busiest times for websites. And if you want to get a jump on the competition then you need to be doing it now and constantly. I know that the holidays can eat up a lot of our money as well. But remember what Henry Ford said:
"A man who stops advertising to save money is like a man who stops a clock to save time."

Are you scared?

On my way home from picking my daughter up at school, I noticed an interesting sight. I have seen it before and it always perplexed me. A smaller bird was chasing and attacking a big bird of prey in the air. Just a few days ago I saw a hawk in a mid air battle trying to catch a pigeon out of a flock of about 300+ pigeons. Yet today, here was one lone bird attacking and chasing a hawk.

I am not sure what caused the battle but as much as I like birds of prey, I always find it to be awesome when the small birds chase the big ones. Maybe it was a mother bird protecting her babies, or maybe it was just protecting itself. The cool thing was it was winning the battle. Maybe the little bird didn't know how little he was. Maybe it was pure stupidity that made it think it could win. Or maybe he knew that if he attacked then the big bird of prey would back down.

Do we sometimes lose battles because we think we are to small and too meager to win the fight so we just give up before it begins? On the TV show The Office last week James Spader closed the special Halloween episode with this thought:

"Fear plays an interesting role in our lives. How dare we let it motivate us. How dare we let it into our decision making, into our livelihoods, into our relationships. It's funny that we take a day each year to dress up in costume to celebrate fear."

I guess what I am saying is, we should not be afraid to do what we want to do. We should not sell ourselves short. Chase those big dreams. I think the reason kids from rich families grow up to have good jobs and make lots of money isn't necessarily because they have a trust fund. I think it is because they see themselves as a big bird. They know that their family has succeeded and so can they. How do you see yourself?

Cashing out via Alertpay

12/26/2011 AGAIN Alertpay is having trouble funding accounts in the USA by bank and credit card. So we have temporarily removed them as a payout option.
